Loss of plating on crown. 34,5 MM excl crown.

Dial marked "Universal Geneve Automatic", with applied "U". Not marked Polerouter on the dial, possibly repainted. GP, Gold-plated case, stainless steel back. "Twisted", "Flared" or so called...

"Dodecagon" screwdown caseback, Marked HF for Huguenin Freres. Chapter ring also has raised bars at 5 minute intervals, double at 12. Signed Patented Rights Pending under the rotor. Designed by Gerald Genta for SAS (Scandinavian Airline Systems). Genta also designed Nautilus and Royal Oak, as well as designing. For giants such as Rolex, Omega, Seiko, Benrus, Hamilton etc. It has the special "microtor", a micro rotor in the revolutionary. Cal 215 which was first introduced in 1955. Able to patent the movement until 1958 due to a legal dispute with Buren. As a result, early 215s were signed Patented Rights Pending underneath the rotor. This model is signed Patented Rights Pending under the rotor (See pictures).

Polarouters (as well as some early Polerouters) were fitted with the same Cal 138 SS bumper. Movements (introduced in 1948) found in earlier SAS watches.

Equipped the Polerouter with their new 215 micro-rotor movement, one of the first of its kind. (the other being Hamilton/Burens planetary rotor found in their Thin-O-Matic range). Though the revolutionary 215 was first introduced in 1955, Universal Genève was not. The 215 was followed by the 218, which featured some basic improvements on.

Its predecessor, particularly with regard to the fine adjustment. The 218-2 was most common across the Polerouter Date range. The items will be well packed, however, I do reuse materials so please expect this when you receive an item.
