FOR PARTS/REPAIR - Although the movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 41 hour power reserve period, the hour and minute hands have a tendency to stick together when attempting to set the time. Additionally the date wheel rolls over at different times. Given these issues and considering that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is required. This seldom seen vintage 1970's Dugena has a blue satin dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows age-related wear. The lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow on the dial only after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully.

The faded blue bezel, which shows wear and stiffly rotates bidirectionally, presents nicely with the lume pip complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with insignificant signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "SKIN DIVER ALL STAINLESS STEEL ANTIMAGNETIC SHOCKPROTECTED" with "100% WATERPROOF" followed by "TESTED" and "10 ATMOSPHERES" stamped in the center.

The crystal should be replaced. While I normally show pictures of the movements of watches that I put up for sale, the case back on this one is torqued too tight for me to remove. The manual wind movement runs strong and keeps accurate time. However, when attempting to set the time the hour and minute hands have a tendency to stick together, making it difficult to set the time.

After winding the non-screwdown crown 37 full revolutions the movement had a solid power reserve of 41 hours. Given the issues mentioned issues and considering that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is required.

This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38 mm including the dual crowns and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 7.5 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 9.5 mm. Given the issues mentioned and considering that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is required.

As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.
