Sensational Rare ZENITH SIGNAL CORPS WW1 Trench Watch Damaged by a Bullet (SF). This watch is quite a rare watch in normal collecting circles. The Signal Corps Watch is a must for all WW1 Watch Collectors. If its a Zenith then all the better. So why is this one different?
Well I bought from the family of the original owner and the watch, and the wearer, were damaged by a bullet during the war. The soldier survived and had the case repaired. It is a fairly drude repair but all the same a great bit of history. You can just read the Zenith signature on the case. Please pop online and search Amazon for my book entitled. A Guide to Collecting Early and WW1 Trench Watches.
In my opinion it's the perfect watch to wear and collect, it is as simple as that. Stunning Dial Signed Zenith Signal Corps. Movement is Very High Quality. Dial Has 12 and 24 Hour Chapters.Case Measures 35mm not including Lugs or Crown. Vintage Watches Appearance and Accuracy. I have endeavored to supply great images, PhotoShop or any other Image manipulator HAS NOT BEEN USED, the images are the images and were taken with iPhone. Please check the images as they represent the watch, if you see hairlines or similar then they are probably there, the images form part of the description. When the item is described as Running well and Keeping Time this means the watch is keeping time to a reasonable accuracy expected from a 100 year old watch.
