The owner was either a watchmaker employed by Benrus or was involved in purchasing of assets when the company went under in the 1970s. It even has the plastic protection and factory label still on the back. There are some marks and light scratches to the case - this is down to the way it has been stored, which was just surrounded by other cases and parts and over time they have obviously bumped into each other causing the marks, so could do with a light bit of polishing work perhaps.
