GALLET & CO, VALJOUX 72 chronograph movement, 30mm, nearly complete. From a group of chronograph, calendar & other watch watches & movements. This movement had been completely disassembled, so I can tell you exactly what I found.

The hour wheel that carries the hour hand is missing, along with a few minor screws, so there are few problems. Two of three barrel plate screws were gone, so I replaced one from inventory to stabilize the plate, and the screw for register/sweep bridge I also had to replace to keep things together. I found a shouldered screw to keep the transfer assembly that engages the sweep, but it is a touch tight and will need undercutting.

The small plate screw that abuts the end of the spring that operates the return is missing. Examined by yours truly, a specialist in antique and vintage watches since 1971. Otherwise mint mechanism with no oxide, good staff, runs with pressure applied to the barrel, start, stop & return appear in order. Great to restore or use as a mint parts basket. French, Italian, Spanish or German and there are any technical details that you cannot translate, please feel free to contact me in your own language!
