Feb 1971 Seiko 6139-6005 Resist True Pogue Automatic Chronograph

Up for sale is a vintage "True Pogue" from February of 1971. This is an American market watch made in the same year as the famous watch worn by Col. Pogue when he went up to space. I have owned this watch for a little while now. It didn't come with a crystal or bezel, but I tracked down a replacement mineral crystal and found an original lightly faded bezel in some parts I had, and decided to install it to mostly complete the watch.

The watch does not currently run consistently, but when you shake it, you can hear it run for short buts of time. It will need a service as well as the crown, hands, and a pusher replaced.

I have no idea what happened to these parts, but they didn't come with the watch when I owned it. Overall, the watch case is in great shape as pictured. The yellow inner rotating (not currently rotating without a stem/crown) bezel maintains its original vibrant yellow, but does not have its lume spot at the top.

The yellow dial is in pretty great shape, but does have a brown mark between the 10/11 mark and around the subdial. Overall, a great base for a restoration project. I guarantee its originality, but this is a project piece that will need some time and effort spent to bring it back on someone's wrist.
